Adult day programs provide structured support for the older person and are another way for a caregiver to obtain respite from caregiving responsibilities. Some programs are dementia specific. Participants engage in a variety of pastimes, including exercise, music, social activities, and meals. Costs vary. Individuals who meet eligibility requirements may qualify for financial support or sliding fee scales.
